ITA Pro Receives 2015 Apex Award of Excellence
ITA Pro magazine, the official publication of the Insurance Technology Association (ITA), has been honored with a 2015 APEX Award of Excellence in the category of New Magazines, Journals and Tabloids.
“We are very excited and proud that ITA Pro magazine has been chosen for a 2015 Apex Award,” says Jim Daggett, executive director of the ITA and publisher of ITA Pro. “This distinguished award underscores the ITA’s commitment to providing our audience with a high quality information service.”
The APEX Awards are in their 27th year recognizing excellence in publishing by professional communicators. The awards are based on excellence in editorial content, graphic design, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. Over 1,900 entries were submitted for the competition.
“The APEX Award is wonderful news,” says Robert Hyle, editor in chief of ITA Pro magazine. “We work hard on developing and editing content for the magazine, so it is exciting that someone has recognized our effort. We are proud that graphic design was a part of this award because our art director, Jason Williams, does an outstanding job turning our content into a pleasing format.”
The APEX Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts, Inc., which helps publishing, PR and marketing professionals improve their publications and communications programs. Concepts has published Writer's Web Watch and its predecessors since 1984. Writer's Web Watch is an e-newsletter on print, web, electronic, and social media.
The panel of judges for the APEX Awards included John De Lellis, Concepts editor and publisher; Kenneth J. Turtoro, noted circulation executive and marketing director with the New York agency, Shain+Oringer; Christine Turner, contributing editor of the Writing That Works Archives; and Bill Londino, consulting editor of Writer's Web Watch.
